Description
Get ready for one of the best tours in Ireland. Starting in Dublin you will be collected at the airport and brought to your hotel. You will stay overnight in the City Centre hotel before you embark on your adventure!
Itinerary
On arrival at Dublin airport you will meet by your driver/guide and transferred to your hotel. Vicinity walk with your driver/guide. The balance of your day is at leisure. Overnight: City Centre hotel
We depart for Waterford stopping off at Avoca wollen mills dating to 1723. Then on to NewRoss where we will visit the Dunbrody Famine Ship, centred on an authentic reproduction of an 1840’s emigrant vessel. We then travel on to Waterford where you visit the House of Waterford Crystal factory . Hotel check in and vicinity walk with your driver/guide.
We travel to Killarney stopping off in Youghal en route to Blarney. Visit Blarney Castle, where You can kiss the Blarney Stone, walk the gardens, have lunch or a drink or two.
Later that afternoon we travel to Killarney, maybe enjoy a ride through the National Park with sights of the Lakes of Killarney and Ross Castle on the pony and traps known as the Jarveys. Hotel check in and vicinity walk with your driver/guide.
This morning we travell the road that winds around the beautiful Iveragh Peninsula, better known as “The Ring of Kerry.” We will have a photo stop at the Aghadoe Heights, we might visit the cemetery. Stop in the Bog Village , then onto Waterville for lunch and Molls Gap at Avoca for restrooms, Photo stop, and a stretch of the legs and those amazing desserts. Walk through Muckross House and Gardens if time allows.
Today We will tour the Dingle Peninsula. First stop is Dingle, a market town and fishing port where we have some time to explore. Drive over the Sliabh Mish Mountains and stop in Tralee at the Rose Garden. We then explore the beautiful village of Adare. Visit of King John’s Castle, located on the River Shannon in Limerick City. Hotel check in and vicinity walk with your driver/guide.
This morning, we visit the Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. We toured the 15th century castle that was meticulously restored in 1954 and given to the nation by its owner, Viscount Gort. Travel on to the Cliffs of Moher, rising approximately 700 feet above the pounding Atlantic waves and stretching to 8km. There was an opportunity to visit the interpretive centre, housed in an underground building, where we also had a chance to grab some lunch. We continue onto Galway City via the Burren. Hotel check in and vicinity walk with your driver/guide.
Today we tour Connemara, a wild land of rocky mountains, sparkling brooks, and rivers. We stop in the town of Clifden before arriving at Kylemore Abbey, a castellated neo-Gothic mansion, occupied today by the Irish Benedictine community of nuns who came from Ypres after World War I. Time to explore the Abbey, The Victorian Walled Gardens, The Gothic Church before enjoying lunch. On route back to the hotel we stop with the Joyce family at Connemara Marble Factory before returning to the city.
